Music mod questions

Music modding questions:

1) Can I simply add mp3 audio files to the Music folder in the Fallout3/Data folder?

2) Where are the files for the Radio Station music files? What if I want to expand the list of music Three Dog plays, is it possible to do this?

If so how exactly?

Basically I like the in game music as far as the basic ambient music goes but what if I want to expand the Radio Station Songs to include tracks. That is what I'd like to do. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

One idea might be to add a Radio Station to the game, but I don't mind having Three Dog as the DJ of said station, its not him, but the music he plays that I'd like changed.

I wouldn't like his music to change. I would however like to add music to his playlist. Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, some more Ella Fitzgerald, some more Billie Holiday, etc.

His songs are in sound rather than music, and atm you have to replace songs, though there are about 7-9 generic songs that are easily forgettable. But adding new songs altogether would require scripting, which requires a cs :/

Scripting huh. Ok. Just curious. As for any who perfer the music not to change I simply say, ok, but the point of a mod is so you use it if you do want it, of course there are plenty who won't just like I see a mod for changing how radiation reads on the pipboy. I like how the pipboy shows radiation so a mod like that doesn't interest me.

I can see expanding the play list along the lines of simliar artists then. The Dean Martin songs on the link above were great. I would like that, I suppose its the 7-9 song list that I fault Bethesda with. They should have, since they decided to use these artists, make a play list of about 40-50+ songs, and considering license fee for them probably isn't much they should have done a more expanded list. I'm curious how much it might have cost, if it were prohibitively expensive I'd understand and be saddened.

If someone manages to expand the list of music that GNR plays along the lines presented in this thread great but I don't have the computer programming skills. "That's a no go Houston, the Eagle has no landed, repeat: the eagle has not landed".
