oh yeah I went as far as could with this one if only i could change the hard drive icons in my computer to the tape disks from FO any ways i think it's pretty neat i basically made a lego build out of some fallout themes i downloaded


this is what my boot screen looks like

the color of your menu bar etc kinda sucks, but the rest is pretty good.

Go get litestep and you could make a REAL fallout theme, not just in colors.

the program is essentially the most popular alternate shell program for windows, and is incredibly powerful.
I use it, but I run a super-minimal theme.

the start bar color is the color from the fallout tactics theme.
I like the idea of the light step thing but that usually takes up ram
i know but i'll take a gander anyways.

I like the wallpapers, login & out screens, the icons and the winamp skin, of course, I use the same one Only thing I dislike is the windows 98 stuff. But its got its own vintage charm I suppose

what the hell, here's my desktop, I've been using this for awhile, I've also got a cool app that will glass the start bar and windows for me and make them transparent. Not really fallout related, but Whattyathink?

its one of the most versatile and widely supported gui interface programs out there.
you can totally rehash your windows appearance from scratch, you could very easily make a similar glassing effect.

Thanks for the recommendation. I've had this theme for 6 months now, I used to have a barebones xp theme but I only decided to make the appearance more 'slick' after buying a widescreen monitor.

If i decide t skin it instead of keeping the win 98 looks it will be the same texture as the rusty metal of the pipboy and the start button would be a nice shiny red button or a white ceramic one like in the elevator of the brotherhood of steel.

btw i have firefox skinned up with the skin you have in the downloads section
