My idea for Fallout 3

Okay, here it goes. Now that I've played 2 and one, I've decided that while 2 was fun for the variety, there wasn't much of a struggle to revive civilization, as almost every city had power, if I remember correctly. So in this one, the game moves to the... where else, but the East Coast. Reason? Well, if they want to keep it with the vault dweller, which wouldn't make much sense, he'd be after the information on... what else, a mutated FEV virus that's playing black death throughout the Northern California area. so he hops in a rebuilt plane (well, if they can build that community that the ending of fallout 2 showed, they can make a plane of some kind. I don't like it, but it's the only thing to do to keep it in blood lines). Flash foward: he's flying along when he's shot down somewhere over New Jersey. And fallout 3 begins. Now, the northeast has the megalopolis, so it's gonna be a hellhole post war. that's why it can be after and still be primitive (the people only left vaults recently, or only recently began to be able to live there). So, you'll have some civilized areas, made by vaults with GECKs, and other areas, that are primitive and rough, like the Den and Hub. Imagine going through the windswept ruins of New York, trying to find information on where the main lab was located. Or travelling by tank to Washington, where you break into the white house bunker to stop the ultimate evil. Okay, it needs work, but it's about all you can do. And the game to continue can't stay in california, now that they've rebuilt civilization.
