First time out of the vault
[spoiler:e52f225351]Well, I just bought the game and played for about 6 hours now, and I have to say for a game by itself it's decent enough, but I have to say I wasn't expecting for my game to freeze up every five seconds. With that said I was rather enjoying myself running around killing things, but then it clicked on me. My intelligence was about 7, and the most intelligent thing I said was *And you call yourself a scientist?* so profound. Besides the dialogue lacking terrible compared to the other fallouts I noticed.. everything in the game is placed really awkwardly. Why is there a shopping cart in the middle of the highway? Why is this car sitting on top of this rock? 300 years ago did someone drive onto a rock when the bombs fell?
Beyond further exploration of the game I realized other interesting things. How do these damn people survive. In the old fallouts people had farms, and constant caravans (( that consisted of more then one bahmin)). And when I arrived at "towns" such as arefu the NPC would say things like "wish we had more guards to protect the town". Well, do you know what I began to think? Maybe you should worry about getting more then three people your damn town.
On a final note the facial expressions of most of the npcs are laughable. I can't tell if a NPC is laughing, or farting. After playing games with less fo a bugdet then fallout 3 like Bloodlines with great facial expressions one would think that Bethseda would take more effort to make their npcs faces move correctly. I can't even express how upsetting the dialogue is in Fallout three. I was just glancing at some dialogue from fallout 2 and here is an example.
"I heard someone saying Mr. Westin's not well. That true? I'm worried something might happen to him. He owes me some money". That isn't even close to some of the other dialogue options you can have in that game. I got better dialogue in NWN2.
So anyways I tolerated Oblivion, matter a fact I enjoyed it. I think this game is enjoyable, but I remember as a wee lad watching my brother play fallout. I say the dialogue choices you could have that easily could be four lines long, and how everything seemed to have a purpose. It kind of seems like Bethseda thought that placing cars on rocks, and raping fallout lore was a good idea.
Anyways, sorry if that sounded like I was trolling or what not, just a fellow fallouter reporting his adventures in the new EXCITING Fallout 3.[/spoiler:e52f225351]
