what the title says, feel free to vat if this thread already exists.

mine would be all the Bond films, especially Casino Royale and Goldfinger, the Bourne films, Space Marine, Red, Escape Plan, Predator, Commando, The expendables

Most badass movie scenes ever:

The Treasure of the Sierra Madre
One of the most underrated films of all time. Good choice. Even Bogey himself said he felt the film was one of his best and he wasn't happy that the film industry [and therefore the critics and movie-goers] gave it the cold shoulder.

Drive with Ryan Gosling is one of my more recent favorite films. No endless nonsensical talking by characters, story is OK but already been done a lot. Dark atmosphere is very well presented on the Bluray. Gosling gives really good performance as tough-quiet stuntman/getaway driver male hero that saves the girl and her doofus boyfriend. Killer soundtrack too.

1984 - the 1984 film version with Harry Dean Stanton John Hurt is a classic for obvious reasons [moreso every day]. This film should be required viewing for every school kid not interested in the book.

Idiocracy - used to be just a strange comedy film, now more of a documentary, I've always liked whatever Mike Judge comes up with. Including the entire King of The Hill animated series. and Beavis & Butthead of course.

From 40's & 50's: Dark Passage, The Maltese Falcon, Forbidden Planet, Smiley Gets A Gun, The Man From Laramie, The Searchers, Winchester '73.

From 60's & 70's: Hell In The Pacific, Lord Of The Flies, Once Upon A Time In The West, The Hill, The Time Machine, True Grit, Yojimbo, A Boy and His Dog, A Clockwork Orange, Alien, Dawn of The Dead [1978], Corvette Summer, In The Realm Of The Senses, Logans Run, Mad Max, any Monty Python, Stalker, Soylent Green, Stone, Taxi Driver, The Ballad of Cable Hogue, The Deep, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Vanishing Point, Viva Knievel! [jk], Wake in Fright, Walkabout.

Many more favorites but these ones stand out, I've been collecting films for decades.

Harry Dean Stanton? Never heard of a 1984 movie with him. Don'T you mean John Hurt?

Yes, you're right. Dunno how I came up with HDS... ?

Edit: Alien, stars both those actors. Damn, senility is starting to kick in. Better get my will made up then.
