If you plan on doing this topic in a more serious assignment in the future, i'd advise you to read up on game design, after that, already having a better understanding of games, formulate and write down what you want to find out. Then you will be able to construct a better survey (also barring in mind the people who are going to answer the questions - they might not know about names or studies that you mention in your questions).

I weighed in last night. I think I got the bit about the four categories, but if I'm right, they seem to be a pretty universal set of criteria... I can't think of a narrative framework you couldn't fit those to (at least, given my understanding).
