I decided to try out the walking around bleeding thing with the alarm trap that was mentioned in another thread. What I found out was far more nasty than just looking cool.
If you equip the alarm trap in a hand, your character gets a maximum hp of 782514, your current hp stays the same but you can bandage & stimpack yourself up or wander around on the main map and gain hp. I had my lv 2 character with 600 hp at one point. it also raises your str to 12. No matter how low your str it goes up to 12 in blue, so this strength is not considered for perks. It also sets your small guns skill to 782514, at this skill it doesn't matter what your perception is, or whether or not you are standing or crouching or what, you allways have the same or best chance to hit, you also seem to have a very high critical chance and unfortunately a high chance to hit and cripple any friendlies in front of you. There is a downside to this though. If you level up when your hp are above about 300 you die, you can get around this by taking the trap out of your hand and putting it back just before leveling, this resets your hitpoints to a maximum of your normal maximum. The alarm traps only seem to be available at bunker alpha and once you go to bunker beta they are no longer in the quartermaster's inventory.
