Okay guys, i wanna play another RPG games. Well i ask you all because somehow I trust you. Well people here say JA2 good and i buy them and it gooooodddd!!!! And they say Arcanum great so i buy it. Well i like that too...
Anyone give me suggestion... What I wan't is a modern not too medieval RPG (I hate Magicks!! In Arcanum I became a Sniper with my Custom Elephant Gun.....) preferably Post Nukes....

You should try X-Com - Terror from the Deep if you haven't tried that, or for some really shocking and thrilling action try System Shock 2 (one of my fav FPS).

What about Daggerfall or Morrowind?

They seem to be a big hit with some of the FO crowd. The UW guys are even thinking about making a FO sim using its editors.

Console RPGs tend to be linear, but they can be a good way to waste some time because they are short.

I tend to favor the more bizarre or the more happening ones. Phantasy Star 2 came out on PC, so you can pick that up, it's a great classic. That one was a whooper in its time. I still remember the damn thing came with a 200+ pages manuel. Since I am on the topic of classics, Lunar I&II was great in its time. The animations on those 2 are really good.

Anyway, I should stop myself before I lose myself in sentimentalilty. :)

On the topic of Phantasy Star, you should check out Dragon Quest V. It has many things some "modern" console games don't have and it's fairly fun if you've liked the Dragon Warrior (Quest) series. Then, there's Star Ocen, a game that was really fun like Star Ocean 2 is.

Ugh!! Thanx Guys. I have played Terror From The Deep for several years. Perhaps i'll try Morrrowind or sumthing else. For Console RPG i think Chrono Trigger still the best!! It is Square Soft Masterpiece i think.
BTW besides X-Com series are there any good turn based Tactics like Jagged Alliance??

Not that I know of.

Also, about console RPGs, there's a few in translation that are fairly good. Seiken Densetsu 3 is a good one, as is Dragon Quest V and Final Fantasy 5. Tales of Phantasia is great, though the translated version is missing some things.

I do agree that Chrono Trigger is perhaps one of the best thought-out games in a long time for the consoles. As you can tell, I've been on an imports kick.

*LOL*

What about Snatchers then? It's not a strict RPG, but it is Cyberpunk sci-fi. I was disappointed when they didn't bring Sakura Wars II here. How could they? It was the best selling game for its platform in Japan. Chrono Trigger was fun, esp. since the time travel thing was kinda unique in the way that actually affect what happens in the game. As for the FF series, well, they do get kinda old from time to time. But I am having fun playing the card game in FF8. (gotta collect them all) :P
Phantasy Star III was interesting for the fact that you have to choose whom you get to marry, so the story doesn't end after you rescue your beloved princess. The original Lunar I&II is almost impossible to find now, but they were my favorites. Those 2 stories somehow touches me differently than most other linear ones. I still get pretty work up thinking about them. The characters somehow comes through the game and made me believe them to be real. It's one of those times when people actually wrote the story before they started to worry about the game itself. I feel that if I was the main char. in the game, I'd probably make the same decision he did.

Just Asking.
Is what you mean by Lunar 1&2 is Silver Star Story and Eternal Blue? Ahhh, if not, I don't have a thing to say. If yes, ahh, I like those two games. In my opinion, for a linear RPG, i like, say: Lufia 2?? It's more like a puzzle game, perhaps that's why i like it. Chrono Trigger is something that I would never forgot, though. BTW a know this is fallout forum, but did anybody know what Gaspar (the guy in the end of time) means by "there's someone close to you who need help. Find this person, fast."????

For wasting time, why not trying to finish fallout 2 with only 1 intelligence???

Oh yeah!!! have you guys plays Snow Drop??? It's fun ya know!!! Uhhh, pardon me, forgot what i've just said...

For console RPG, try: ZELDA!!!!

Now, i got to go, i have a class to attend.

As for Tales of Phantasia...

As I've said before, they MASSIVELY neuter the games before they leave Japan, but notably Squaresoft US is the biggest culprit for years, with sometimes inserting BIS Fallout 2-era stupid easter eggs and jokes.
