NEED SOMETHING NEW!

Okay im sorry if this has been done before, but im seriously bored :D Im looking for a good RPG to tide me over for a while, and im sure you guys have lots of sugestions.

RPGs I already have : Fallout 1 and 2, NWN, Planescape Torment, Both Shenmues, Arcanum, KOTOR, Morrowind, Arx Fatalis, Deus ex, system shock 2, Diablo... I think thats about it...

I have the following platforms

PC
XBOX
PS1
Dreamcast

Okay any sugestions? :D

Get Gothich 2. Though I hear gothic 1 is better, gothic 2 is pretty fun. I don't think much replay value, however.

It has some replay value actually. Gothic2 is nice, the world really feels alive. The first was too buggy for me, gave up on it.

I loved the Realms of Arkania series.

And you might want to try Ultima VII, using Exult.

I like world sim aspects in an rpg, the interactiveness of Ultima VII, and the micromanagement in RoA: Appropriate clothes, provisions, diseases and wound infections.
Oh, and the mages are great too. High potential power, but subtle spells and slow mana recovery. Blinding, increasing movement speed and a spell for good sleep were my mage's main tools. In dire need he could also hurt an enemy with his spells.
Magic weapons were actually rare. RoA is based on a German PnP RPG and really tries to capture the feeling.

I didn't see the Baldurs Gate games on your list, so I'll recommend them.

I'll also agree with Claw about the Ultima 7 games. If you can stand the graphics, they are excellent, not to mention classics that everyone ought to have played.

Lastly I'll recommend Darklands, which is an excellent RPG, set in medieval Germany. Again, the graphics are pretty dated, but the game itself is good.

Gothic sounds good. Can you customize your clothes, own a house, that sought of thing?

Careful there

Anyway, I hear Fable for the Xbox is very good. Also the first RPG on Xbox, apparently. I'd recommend it based on the reviews.

Also I think the NWN expansions expand the game quite a lot, but I don't know.

"An unshakable faith in the Immortal Emperor of Man can overcome any barriers."

I just purchased fable and im quite dissapointed. They removed the feature where you could do naughty things to people in a graveyard  But other then that the game is l33t...I mean exquisite.

Whadya meen first RPG on XBOX???

There is KOTOR, arx fatails, pirates of the caribean (oh yeh thats ony my list now aswell), morrowind.... Errrr thats about it, but it is still more than one.

KOTOR isn't much of an RPG, Arx Fatalis kinda sucked, POTC sucks and Morrowind is a PC conversion. Fable is the first Xbox-only RPG.

Hordes of the underground expansion for NWN is by far the best of the 2 expansion, even preceeding the originall nws game.

Other than that you could try a few of the thausands fan made nws mods.
I recommend Dreamcatcher, all free of course :)

I've noticed that the Baldurs Gate games seem to be frowned upon here at NMA, but I don't really understand why. I found these games to be thoroughly enjoyable, albeit time consuming. Perhaps you could enlighten me?

Forgotten ---> If you don't mind some old school RPG'ing I'd recommend Eye of the Beholder (all of them), Ravenloft (both of them, although the sequel is the best), Albion, Veil of Darkness (more of an adventure game really, but excellent none the less), Ishar (I only played the first one, but it's good), and of course the holy grail of computer roleplaying games, Lands of Lore (again, I only played the first one, but it's highly recommended).

Edited because I fucked up the quotation... (again)

I bought it, and it wont let me play because Atari fucked up with the cd-keys  :badmood:

I'll second this. Shadows of Undrentide is about as bad as the original campaign, hotu keeps your interest for a while though. I've been meaning to try the Dreamcatcher and Shadowlords mods but I always hesitate when it comes to NWN stuff.

Also, get Temple of Elemental Evil as soon as possible. It still has a lot of bugs but is incredibly fun.

Alright you two. Back to the Order with ya!

Anyways, I was just at my EBGames store, and it was packed with people waiting to buy Fable. I've never heard of it, and don't particularly care to. So I was walking around the store, thinking the computers were down or something, before going up to the counter, and asking "hey Dustin, what the hell is going on, computers down?". "Nope, Fable hasn't come from the airport delivery yet." Then I says "What the hell is Fable?". And before he can answer I buy my copy of Flight Simulator 2004, and tell everybody that XBox is garbage, then leave.
