What about a languages skill seperate from speech skill? So for example if the game was set in a wider area than just the US and you had a character with a low languages skill you would find it difficult to talk with the locals, thus adding a whole new element of diplomacy to the game. Someone with a high languages skill would find it easier, obviously.

Any have any more ideas for new skills? And does anyone from Interplay actually look at this message board?
 
OR the ability to understand perhaps dialects of ghouls/raiders/whatever. Though, I don't see this into too much of use, because even if it did span over a few countries, it might be better included in the Speech skill with a Trait of being able to uderstand the other language at some proficiency - proficiency depending on any number of things (like INT, for example).

Now, if you've taken a look at the Arcanum WorldEd tutorials, particularly where the crafter can build speech trees themselves based upon character stats, THAT is DAMN impressive.

As for Interplay, I know quite a few *do* read these boards. Mostly BIS, and a couple at that. Dunno about Feargus himself, though.

If anything, I do believe these boards do give a bit of insight to other players who may wish to try their hand at game making and editing.
