Yeah, well what about this one:

DATMan Light version (the regular version will be far superior):

Features:
* The fastest unpacker out there! Beats even the console utilities!
* Including the best and only DAT packer in the public world
* Ability to open several DATs
* Extract single or multiple files, entire folders including the full DAT with two clicks, or by pressing just one key!
* Search features, find in a matter of second the lost file in your enourmous DAT!

RE: Yeah, well what about this one:

->Hmmm. DAT explorer is fastest.
* Including the best and only DAT packer in the public world
->Hmmm. Best? Hmmm... I doubt.
* Ability to open several DATs
-> What for?
* Extract single or multiple files, entire folders including the full DAT with two clicks, or by pressing just one key!
->This key is ALT+F4
* Search features, find in a matter of second the lost file in your enourmous DAT!
->Yes, pleasant thing

Download DAT explorer and try self

RE: Yeah, well what about this one:

Come on, every program has its pros and cons:

About the speed, *it's completely relative*:

DAT Explorer loads a DAT in matter of seconds
DatMan takes 20 secs to load Master.dat, 10 secs to load Critter.dat and 2 secs to load Patch000.dat
DatMan navigation features (change folder/displaying) are 4 times faster than Dat Explorer.
DAT Explorer makes a full Patch000.dat extraction 2 or 3 seconds faster than DatMan.
DatMan makes a full Master.dat extraction faster than PEFAFE (TeamX last undat console program), don't remember the seconds. DAT Explorer can't make a full Master.dat extraction because it contains a bug (it doesn't divide the buffer when unZlibing so it pop-ups a "Cannot create output file" or the hard disk starts to run without stopping forever having to reset the computer... yes it happened to me :-)).

About the DAT packing features.
DATs made with DAT Explorer are unuseful (just try them).
So, DatMan is the best DAT packer in existence.

About the "ability to open several DATs".
We (Garry and me) wanted to create that feature to allow fast managing (creation/edit/etc.) of DATs. For example, it would allow drag & drop features, among others.
DatMan Light (a reduced version of what is (hopefully) going to be DAT Manager), used that same engine, so, the feature was left there and I used it to promote the proggy ;-).

>>* Extract single or multiple files, entire
>>folders including the full DAT with two clicks,
>>or by pressing just one key!
>->This key is ALT F4

No,

F3 to extract the selected file(s) or directory
F4 to extract the entire DAT
These are just one key.

Tools/Extract selected files...
Tools/Extract entire DAT...
These are two clicks.

ALT F4 are two keys.

>>* Search features, find in a matter of second
>>the lost file in your enourmous DAT!
>->Yes, pleasant thing

Thanks.

Finally, I have plans of releasing the source codes.

So, like I said, both programs has its pros and cons and I think both of them are useful.
But if I were dims, I would start helping TeamX to finish that damn Mapper!

Best regards :-)

Dims is on Xteam, a TeamX rip-off.

Nope?

In DAT Explorer's about say he is from TeamX, in his website it says Xteam, but I think he mistaken the name.

Also, in TeamX homepage he appears as a trial member that has to create a PRO editor.

...

Well, I have checked his homepage... I don't know, possibly a TeamX division?

Who told you that, Smack?

Are you a TeamX member, Dims?

A mixture of Dr. W95's website and Xteam's website.

Yes, he is!

Why would interplay hire a bunch of Russian hackers to make Fallout 1?

Because...

...IMHO, because Russians are far more capable than Americans ;-)

BTW, if that is true (I don't believe it), it means that I made a program better than one of the BIS programmers!! :D j/k
