Briosafreak informed me that Bethesda have updated their forums and also put up some new rules which means all messages will be deleted if they're not active within 30 days, here's the rule:
Also, messages will now only remain on the server for 30 days based on activity, except for pinned threads. So if nobody posts in a thread for 30 days, it'll be deleted. Again, we're trying to improve the performance by keeping the size of the database reasonable.
Right...

Now that's stupid. Why not just call it a slow chat system instead of a message board?
A message board which does not archive threads is pointless. The only thing that makes sense is deleting the threads and writing them into static text files so they are preserved and cannot be edited anymore (and don't clutter up the DB)...

...

now that gives me some ideas...

They are asking people that don`t agree with the idea to do just that Ashmo, but in their HDs...

Whooh... That was a very scary place. Haven`t seen so much daggers and umm... dark elves and... FANTASY since I took my final leave of absence from the ADandD table, resigning my "role-playing" experience as Ulrich the Axehand.

Didn`t see a word about Fallout though, but thenaigain - maby there were too much pointy ears in the way and I wasn`t looking hard enough.

I sure hope those guys thoroughly wash their brains of all the FANTASY before they get to vaults and wasteland. I swear, if I encounter one, at least one pointy-eared thing in there I`m gonna... do absolutely nothing about it.

Heh, this is funny stuff. Usually they put a demand in sticky ''rules'' thread for users to search forum before making new threads. Bethesda have decided to go implement just the opposite type of (dis)order in their boards. Is this somehow related to the fact that they're making F3 now?

Symptom

Symptom

What does my lack of empathy for this traffic control situation imply?

I'm developing the short attention span, twitchy, Real Time(tm) stimulus response synapses. Destined for console godhood, no doubt.

Or, a more refined level of "caring".

I trust their desire for detachment and disengagement serves their future public relations efforts. That the isolation engenders creative fertility, and not inbred futility.
