Today I found an NVidia GeForce 9500GT for $35. This is an amazing change, since I am using my three year old rig that I built for business apps. Until today it was running an NVidia 6100. What I really had fun with was tweaking stuff in order to make games run that really shouldn't. For instance, I could get Bioshock to run at 7 FPS. Unplayable, really, but it ran! I'm just too cheap and broke to spend money on updrading my graphics card for gaming. But $35 was too good to pass up. Tonight I am actually going to play through Bioshock with all the settings on max (except without the DX10). 30FPS and up.
Just sharing because I'm happy.
