I'm new to the game, I just got Fallout, and don't have a manual. I'm having problems figuring out how to rest/heal without using up all my stimpacs. How might I do that? I haven't left the cave yet.

How do I get back into the vault?

1) Wrong fucking forum. Read the rest of the forums and the other forum descriptions before actually posting. Lurking is also advised.

2)Use the pipboy to rest(press p, or look at the right bottom of your interface and find a pip-button). And go leave the cave. Healing up isn't necessary, at least not in the beginning, since you are automatically partially healed while travelling.

3) You can only get back into the vault after you've left the cave at least once. They don't want you to come running back with a "the real world is scary"-routine.

It probably was tossed out of The Order's forum. As usual. I have no idea why some newbies post Fallout help questions there.

Nah, it was general gaming. Posting in GG at least kind of makes sense - I'll never understand why people choose the Order as the forum to ask for tech help when we have 6 forums that have "Fallout" in the title.

Alright. That was probably the dumbest reason, but you never know what goes on in the twisted mind of some of them.

Go out and see the world. Or kill the rats and rest till the morning.
