If you're looking for it to be like the first, don't really hold your breath. It plays more like a Domination match mixed with a team mod, and without many of the really neat things like the ability to captain a ship. The patch, already at a couple of revisions, still hasn't unfucked the keyboard controls. It will simply not allow you to unbind or bind certain keys in the keybinds menu, for no reason at all except that the developers didn't bother to add in a configured camera controls window to handle the keys it won't let you unbind/bind.
In particular, the KeyPad keys for binding like many play. If you get the game and need to change this, go into your My Documents folder, and then search for the profiles folder, then the keybinds file, then just delete the lines with the KeyPad key.
