Look, Ma! Two Heads!
New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo filed antitrust charges against Intel

The Wall Street Journal said:
Mr. Cuomo’s office reviewed millions of documents and emails and took depositions from several dozen witnesses. The suit cites messages between Intel executives, including Chief Executive Officer Paul Otellini, as well as internal emails from Dell, Hewlett Packard and IBM.

I read the 80+ pages of the PDF linked in the article. If all that stuff is true (I don't know, but it wouldn't surprise me) Intel is not gonna have a nice time ahead.

So they didn't artificially spike prices or manipulate supply to strengthen themselves, they just have prickishly aggressive sales tactics to maintain market share. What good sales department doesn't? Been to a car dealership lately? Oh yeah, Cuomo never worked in the private sector, how would he know?

Maybe the fact that they have 90% market share could be accounted for by the fact that they continue to make the best CPUs and Mobos.

And Cuomo wouldn't stand to gain anything by grandstanding here would he? NY senate seat opening up hmmmmm?

Ask yourself this:
Who's caused more damage to the economic well being of America? Intel's ball busting sales reps, or Cuomo after his stint as HUD director pushing mortgages to people who couldn't pay them, plunging us into a fucking recession? He gave kickbacks to subprime lenders for funding paper that they all knew would never get payed back. People lost their houses, banks lost the loans, all houses tanked in value/equity, recession/depression.
This is the guy that's going to take Intel to task?

Thank goodness we have a watchdog like Andrew Cuomo to keep us safe from Intel's browbeating sales force!

Intel's position on the market is deserved as far as i'm concerned and they've got enough competitors to validate their tactics...
