As many of you have seen lately we've been having some problems with our server, this is due to alot of traffic. Which has exploded lately, especially after we released the screenshots from Fallout 3 (Van Buren).

We are working on solutions as we speak, so hopefully we'll have a solution soon..

Great to hear that, I was going to make a toopic about this problem. but since you made first.... :)

what are you going to do about it?
are you going to change servers?

Whoa, I was going to make a topic about this too earlier. This has happened to me a bunch of times where it says there are too many people on or something. Glad to know you're fixing it though. Thanks.

Whoa! How come there are so many guests? I look down to see who is online, and I see about 140 guests!

Happend to me few times.

I never seen so many quests around here. It's some kind of revolution or something.

I understand you are having problems, but congrats on the volume of traffic you guys are getting. I doubt you realized the volume of people who just crusied the front page, and never cracked the forums, but I think you are getting a taste of it now. Again just goes to show the enormous fanbase out there for Fallout. Shame most of us are johnny come latelys to the forums. Might have shown certain people just how serious the desire is and the potential market of a new PC Fallout title. Thanks for holding up under the pressure!

I figure the guest influx is due to the recent news of the cancellation of Fallout 3. And since the game sites out there are printing that info, and perhaps providing links to sites like NMA, we get hundreds of people coming here and getting us kicked off! Why the sudden popularity people?

well I was also looking for fallout fan site that updates itself and has all the things needed for fallout site, and I found that the only live site in the net about fallout is NMA.

really there isnt any other (as far as I know) site that updates so much and posts news.

I ablosutely love your site, I came on board before they canned VB and there were a whole lot less people posting here, The Order even complained about not having enough members. Now the boards are overflowing, not to mention the site crashing due to bandwidth problems. If I can help somehow send me an E-Mail.

VB being canceled really brought em out to bitch though did'nt it?

Well there are several Fallout fansite around, but AFAIK NMA and DAC are the biggest ones. DAC seems to have lost somewhat interest.

The problem seems to be fixed, we are running a php cache since that was the problem. Actually we are moving to a new db server in 1-2 weeks, which would have been able to handle the load..

You guys will notice that the site get somewhat slower at times, this is due to alot of visitors. Just look at the boards, we've have gone up from 30-40 max vistors online to 200..

And the recent news have been part of the fact that alot of new visitors come here..

NMA is a great source of Fallout information I been visiting NMA since 1998 but I never posted much. Keep up good work folks
