This forum is for Fallout RPG. Tactics isn't any of the Fallout RPG's, it's a separate game and you should have asked this question in the appropriate forum right away.

Moving.

No 3D sound is just an option to turn it off if you want. Have you installed any custom missions by any chance? If you installed one that came with it's own bos.cfg file it'll change your options (at least under the path the mission was installed to). You can just change your options back again, though if the custom bos.cfg is set to read only your changes won't be permanent.

ive only Downloaded the maps for multiplyr but i get no sound like the speeches from barnaky and stuff like that

The no 3d sound option shouldn't affect actual sound files, did the speech work previously? Check that you've not deleted the miles folder, that your loc-mis bos files are all installed correctly and are not corrupt. Do you still get the text speech pop up when you click on an NPC?

i think i did delete the miles folder...i don't know what contents it should have but what's the path for that folder??? text of the speech pops up and i dont get audio.....where do i find those loc-mis files???

The miles folder should be directly under your FOT folder, the loc-mis files should be in your core folder and the originals on CD 2 or 3, but if the text still works it's more likely to be the lack of the contents of your miles folder. Easiest thing to do is re-install the 1.27 patch that'll create a new miles folder.
