No Cd Possiblity?

I read somewhere that it was possible to put a US patch on th UK version of the game, and have it so that you could play without the CD. THis would be really useful since my CD rom drive in all messed up and I have to use other peoples computers and stuff.

just edit the config file and change the path to match your master.dat and critter.dat files on hard drive
