No music in fallout 2

I recently installed a GSP games version of the fallout collection. For some reason the in game music does not work for fallout 2 yet it does for fallout 1. Curiously sound effects do work for fallout 2, as does cutscene music.

I am currently running windows vista, and have patched fallout 2 with the patch included on its website (a patch featured here under downloads, and called GSP DVD Edition CD-Lock Patch).

Sorry for double posting but I have found the answer to my problem. One needs to change the fallout2.cfg file to correct this problem (you can find out how on other forum posts).

Yet this was not working for me as I could not find the fallout2.cfg file. It turns out that it is not located in the C:\Program Files\BlackIsle\Fallout2 folder, but instead, at least when installing the GSP version on Vista, in this folder:

C:\Users\"yourusername"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\BlackIsle\Fallout2

Once again I apologize for being such a noob, but I hope my revelation can be of help for other noobs who have tried to solve this problem using the aforementioned method but have stumbled upon this simple problem.
