No music in the intro

I'm probably the only one who hasn't got "Maybe" in the Fallout intro, so now I'm asking why. I extracted the music from Fallout, and listened to the "Maybe" wav. but it wasn't there. I just get this background music that follows you around in the intro. It has always been like this, and I want to know why.

...um... er..., just wanted to say that you're not the only one.
my first cd with fallout didn't play it either, only background music...
 
I also have that problem on my US version. My both UK versions plays the intro music.


A little far fetched, but did you get your Fallout 1 from a computer games magazine. I got my US version with "PC Instic Games" magazine, so all those copies could be corrupted somehow.
 
I've got the US version....I got no music, either, now that I think about it..But I live in the US, and this is the only way I've played Fallout, so I never noticed it. I got the game the day it came out. Woo...I wonder if it used to play when I had Win95?

Could this be another WinXP problem?
 
I have the original release U.S. version, and have run into no problems running under XP.

Magazine version may have had the song cut out due to licensing problems.
