No sound on Fallout

Hi

I have installed the original Fallout onto my computer (Windows XP OS) and it's all working except there is no sound at all, like, even on the intro video there is no sound.

Before you all ask, yes, I have tried the fixes in the troubleshooting thread but they didn't work. I tried adjusting the sound acceleration in DxDiag but it didn't solve anything and I have made sure that the sound is linked to the proper folder in the configuration file for the game, again, it was all ok.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Same Probled Dude..

I have the same problem. I have tried everything in SOUND.EXE (Yes. I have Fallout 1 DOS) and it doesnt work. Windows XP SP 4

I figured it out. LUCKILY!

I saved my DATA folder before using Killaps unofficial patch. His patch has no music.

I looked around at my saved file from steam, and I see all the music tracks. I put them in every folder that says sound\music which was 2 or 3 and it worked perfectly.

Theres like a folder with 15 or so music files on the disk or in original steam folder. Killap is called "data", steam calls it DATA.
