As for the rugs and other floor Items, this can be mostly fixed by mappers through setting their trans_none flag to NO and flat to YES, if not already. This worked for me, especially the den church, where the floor was neither flat nor trans.
As for mobs who slump into walls, theres no solution. But if you can see, and thus act with, 'em from the other side of the wall, you char will then shuffle around and still empty their pockets.
