Not enough space? (WinXP)

First time out of the vault
Hey all. I'm new to the forums, but I've been a fallout fan for years and years and years. I figured I'd install the game and give it another go... so exciting!

One problem though... whenever I try to install it under XP everything works GREAT. I play the game once then close it to go to bed or something. The next time I open it, the damn thing tells me I need 20 megabytest minimum disk space to run the game... but I have like 10 gigs free!

Anyone know what it's problem is?

I'm running a:

Dell Inspiron (yes, a laptop, lol)
750mghz Pentium 3
320 MB RAM
ATI Mobility P 3D card

oh yes... and I run the crappy WindowsXP on this machine.

Thanks in advance NMA

Peace

That happened to me recently. I don't think it means your disk space but memory, RAM or whatever. I just restarted the computer, when I was logging it out it increased the cashe and now it works fine.

I have a solution to this little problem:

I decided to start playing Fallout 2 again, on my windows xp supplied PC. And fear and anger struck me when i got that error message...But the solution us quite simple really:

Go to your Fallout 2 folder (where the fallout2.exe is located). Right-click on fallout2.exe and go to "compabilites" (or something like that) and where there is a list of windows systems, choose Windows NT 4, and fallout 2 should run!

If it STILL doesn`t work, try choosing other windows systems!
