The real question is: Why are you using Nutscrape at all? If anything, you should use Opera in its place.
But since you asked, try out Popup Stopper at www.panicware.com/ . I've been using Popup stopper since I found out about it and it just plain rocks. It blocks all new IE windows at the OS level (preventing even applications from popping up new windows) and if you want a window to popup, hold down Ctrl or Shift and it lets it through, simple as that.
