I was wondering if theres a patch or crack so it can be played without having the fallout2 CD in.

With a humongous install, you don't need the disk period.

Yeh I did that install for FO2
and im getting the cant load text/fonts msg.

As for fo2mapper, install the mapper to root (= delete the new "Fallout 2 Mapper" auto-folder) directory or change directory in mapper.ini.
