Old Video

First time out of the vault
A friend and I were discussing Fallout the other day and I mentioned seeing a very short video that demonstrated a graphics engine with an mmo style flair in the fallout world. It was very short and since that time, I haven't been able to find it.

All I remember is it showed a guy walking around outside a building in a true 3-d environment like you would see in an MMO.

Does anyone have any information as to where this video is located?

Do you mean this video, or perhaps this one?

If either of those isn't it, could you be more specific? What does 'MMO style flair' mean? Are you sure it had anything to do with MMOGs, or was it simply 3D? Was it first person or third person? Was it an actual Fallout location, and if so, which one? Are you sure it was Fallout related, and not another post-apocalyptic project?

Neither of those videos unfortunately.

The video, from what I can recall and memory is a fickle creature, took place on a dark street next to a multistory building. It showed a single person walking around in a third person view ala what the majority of people use to play WoW/EQ.

Tannhauser that second video was cool do you have any more info about that troika game?

Perhaps.

So you mean a close-up, over the shoulder type third person view? No other specifics at all? It will be difficult to find the video with such scanty details. Are you absolutely sure it has to do with Fallout, and not another post-apocalyptic setting?

While I can't think of any specific videos which fit the bill, I can think of two post-apocalyptic projects which might be the ultimate source of your video. One is an actual MMORPG, Fallen Earth, and the other is a Morrowind mod Ashes of Apocalypse. Other than that, I am out of ideas.

Thank's for that bit of info Tannhauser, got me hungry for some more info on it got any more?

Besides the obvious fact that the project died with Troika, not anything comprehensive. There might be scraps of information around, but you will have to find them yourself.

Ok thanks dude :), Its a shame troika died.

EDIT: Was it ever given a name or anything and dose anyone have any idea if someone bought the licence to the engine or the game it's self?
