I really, really, really hope they make a go of this, it has so much potential. I love fallout, and adore fallout 2, but my only problem was the patching......the load times on it were ridiculous, that was however the only fault in an otherwise perfect game. Or maybe it was my hardware at the time......hehe. Anyways, I just hope they fix everything before it goes on sale, because then everyone will be able to appreciate it for what it is instead of being blinded by massive loading times.....no real point to that message, just interested to hear everyone elses view on the subject ;)

The funny thing is that Fallout was a tile-based game, and tile-based games are supposed to use very little in the way of memory since they can just blit the same tiles over and over.

Planescape Torment loads quite fast and has even better graphics than Fallout. Both of those games I copied over all the files to my hard drive so I didn't have to worry about the load time. Believe me, if you have PS:T and 2.5 gig, copy over the CDs to your hard drive, you can't believe the difference in speed.

I noticed that what os you use matters pretty much to game stability and speed, my old Win95B was soooo slooow(probably because fat32) and crashed every thirty minutes, usually when i tried to save my game, but my OLDER Win95 had no trouble with crashing nor speed.

I noticed that before the gme was patched the loading and saving times was horredous, but after the patch was installed, everything speeded up.

I have never played PS:T. I'll give that a try, thanks for your help
