Man, they really got her good!

"We should go hunting together," Palin offers when Audette professes a love of hunting - or, more precisely, killing animals. "We can have a lot of fun together while we're getting work done. We could kill two birds with one stone."

Audette then jokes that they shouldn't bring Cheney on the hunt, referring to the 2006 incident in which the vice-president shot and injured a friend while hunting quail.

"I'll be a careful shot," responds Palin, who praises Sarkozy throughout the call.

"I look forward to working with you and getting to meet you personally - and your beautiful wife, oh my goodness," she says.

"You've added a lot of energy to your country with that beautiful family of yours."

Audette then tells her his wife, Carla Bruni, a singer and former model, was jealous to hear Sarkozy would be speaking to Palin. "Give her a big hug for me," Palin responds.

Audette goes on to describe Bruni as "hot in bed" and claims she's written a song for Palin, the French title of which translates as "Lipstick on a Pig." In English, Audette says the song is about Joe the Plumber.

One of the reasons McCain is going to lose this election.

Not that it is a problem for me.

ye never know...

look at the phonecalls in Dr Strangelove. :P

but seriously, this is way beyond retarded...

Usually, I play the role of Switzerland when 4chan pulls its stunts, but the exceptions are the Scientology rallies, and this woman.

And as for the Masked Avengers, I certainly hope the V for Vendetta drama doesn't happen to them... In the form of lawsuits... Can't really do anything about it unless McCain invades Canada, or the CIA does something...

It's fun to imagine.

If you look on some of the stories it becomes apparent that they included plenty of goofs to let on to the fact that they were pranking her. Honestly, I think she was probably struggling with him giving her a whole lot of information really quickly, with a French accent. And I can't really fault her for being polite to a guy that claims to be the President of France.

If this shows any fault of hers it's that she was too believing in her assistants' telling her that this was Sarkozy - and believing too much in your advisers can be a major fault if you are the President (or next in line) of the U.S.. Half of the screw ups in the George W. Bush administration can be attributed to him listening to the wrong advisers or not considering alternative viewpoints.

It also shows that to Sarkozy she just wanted to be agreeing and complimenting even if she wasn't understanding exactly what he was saying. She would have seemed loads more intelligent if she asked some questions back at him to see what he was talking about (e.g. What was the name of that documentary again?) or she could have expressed that while she likes hunting she didn't take too much pleasure in killing animals as he inferred. In some ways this is like the Borat effect in that when you agree in too many of outrageous things someone is saying (even in an effort to seem polite) it either makes you seem like an idiot or a really screwed up person.

Thank god palin and mccain got the shaft, the last friggin' person we need anywhere near a place of power is that religious mental case palin.
