First time out of the vault
I used to come here a lot and I found a patch that let me play fallout 2 without the disc but I had to format my hard drive and lost it all, when I came to look for the patch which I originally found here, it was no longer available for download, I think it was patch000 but even if it wasn't, I can't find it and would appreciate any help anyone can give me in trying to find it, if it can't be downloaded from any sites anymore then if someone could send it me via e-mail, that would be amazing. I know I'm asking a lot for a newbie to the forum but it has been over a year since I played the game and refuse to play it without that patch even though it's my favourite game ever.
 
I've been doing some searching and have realised that patch000 is not what I want and before anyone tells me off for asking for something to let me play without the CD, it's because I've got it installed but my little brother broke the CD and I don't have any money to buy a new one

You can try downloading the US 1.02 patch, then using that exe file instead of the UK version I assume you have now.
 
I don't know how the folks here feel about no CD cracks so just do a search and you will find a couple.Its pretty easy.

Also may i suggest using a nutcracker on the knuckles of your brothers fingers.To teach him not to break things that don't belong to him?

If you've done a Humongous install, you should be able to play if you set the patch in Fallout2.cfg file correctly. Search the forum for information on that, especially the stickied threads for the Manual Installation.

Also, download the patch Per told you to, you'll find it in http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/dload.php

And no talk on No-CD cracks.

Not entirely true. There are some versions of Fallout 2 that do have copy-protection.
But for as far as I know, installing the US patch should do just fine.

I know, although I've never had one. That's why he needs to follow Per's instruction.
