Patches and fixes for Fallout 2 and Tactics?

I've installed Fallout 1/2/Tactics, and I've installed Fallout Fixt for Fallout 1. What's the best way to go with Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics, bearing in mind that I'm only looking for something that will fix the bugs, and make gameplay changes etc which make it more users friendly (which is what I assume Fixt does), rather than a complete overhaul. Would Restoration Project do the trick for Fallout 2?

yeah, that or Killaps unofficial patch. RP adds some new elements to the story and gameplay, unofficial patch just fixes bugs that were left after official patch...

Are they generally considered good elements that RP add?

And how about Tactics? Is there a collection of patches for that? Or are the official patches enough?

I find Redux mod from Endocore to be really good. There are some changes to the recruit pool or weaponry though, check out readme for details before installing it: http://www.nma-fallout.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1382

Great, thanks. Think I'll go for F1 with Fixt, F2 with Restoration and FT with Redux.

I've had this "Fallout Collection" for ages (and I've played F3 and FNV many times on Xbox 360, and will soon play them again with mods on PC), and I'm finally going to get around to playing them after the Fallout 4 announcement got me all hyped up again. I love the Fallout games even more than the Elder Scrolls series, and that's saying something.
