Dear fellow gamers:

I am a newbie trying out Fallout Tactics for the first time since playing Fallout 1 and 2

(which KICK ASS!)

Anyway, I find myself starting this with a bit of confusion.

Should I install patch 1.25 or 1.27? Does 1.27 include all the fixes of 1.25? What about the other downloads?

Is there a game guide anywhere? I am a little concerned about character creation. Since you are playing the main character throughout should he or she have a high charisma in order to attract NPCs?


If anyone has an answer to these questions, I would appreciate it.

I installed 1.27, but I dint have a choice since that's what was on my CD. It works fine.

High charisma helps you gain rank faster. Rank is supposed to affect what items you can buy, but I dont believe it does. It is also supposed to affect what recruits you can get (you can't have anyone in your team higher than you in rank) and this it does.
