Patching Fallout 2

I was trying to update Fallout 2... I can't... I'm using windows 7. Fallout 1 works but with glitches in graphics (In other words it seems like it's permanently stuck in the 256 color thing or something like that) Fallout 2 can run without the patch but I'm afraid of the car getting cut and me being left with only the trunk. How do I get the patch to run? I tried using compatibility mode but it says I'm not running the right version of windows.
I'm more worried about getting the patch to run on windows 7. I don't care about the glitchy graphics with the 256 colar appearnce.

hmm... download Killaps Patch from http://killap.net/

it will fix all your problems, if you still have the 256 colors thing, but you resolution down to 800x600 it works in many old games (panzer general 2, Kingpin, etc)

Nice signature, elira...lol btw, I used to get only the trunk and the car still worked. as long as that guy from new reno doesn't steal it, you can use it, it just takes a CAREFUL click.
