Sep 12, 2007 #3 victor Antediluvian as Feck Orderite Ok. Where do I check that? Actually I'm just looking to buy a wireless network card for my PC. Know any good ones? I was looking at a Netgear WG311T, I don't know if it's good (I have a Netgear router though).

Sep 12, 2007 #4 SuAside Testament to the ghoul lifespan Admin oh dear... just open your case & see if you can read a model nr & brand... usually is around the first PCI slot, but it depends. while you're down there, check how the slots look. from top to bottom: PCIe x4, x16, x1 and x16 compared to a traditional 32-bit PCI slot (bottom) if you have one or more looking like the bottom one, it should be PCI 2.2 or higher, unless your pc was built in the stoneage. still, better off checking the model/brand so we can check for you...
