I think I will try out this story-roleplaying, all I tried up 'til now is p&p or online rpg.
If I write a story for the background of my Char, should I post it in the Fan-Fiction and add only a concept in the thread for chars, or should I post the story right there?

    Cheers,

    Wah, sorry!

I hit the wrong button to post this message, it was supposed to go in the hello thread.
    Sorry for that.

I don't know why it appeared two time, tho.

No problem, I will send it to the vats after you respond. Or not- depending how this conversation changes. (Editing the title to something else.... hmmmm).

If you want to start up a thread, post the setting, story line, purpose, rules, etc.

If you want to start up a character, post the character in the character thread and maybe write a quick message in the roleplays OC to say you want in.

Down in Mexico is really focused on getting new players involved, so that's a good place to start.

that said, I am actually curious about getting some pen and paper or Fallout d20 and would welcome any ideas in that department.

thorgrimm tried to host a few online P&P FORPG sessions back in the day when his "Gunny" concept was still new. we used OpenRPG (kinda irc meets gamingmodule). we eventually broke up because we had problems with getting enough players to keep the story consistant.

That's always the problems with roleplays. And worse, if players drop out in mid-story. It's frustrating. I can understand why so many drop out.

In a sense, being a manager is a bit easier because you take more possession of the story to move it along. But even managers get dry spells.

Welsh, this broke up due to schooling. :D As all the players were students. But now that school is out, the interest is picking back up.

    Cheers Thorgrimm

That's good to hear Thorgrimm. I was talking about roleplays in general. Interests picks up and dies out. It's commitment that gets you through the dips in interest.
