Photoshop 101: need quick response

Von Drunky

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
I've been drinking too much or something but i cant seem to remember how to do this: I need to cut the white space out of a logo so it will blend with the template of my Power Point but for some reason when I save it and drag it to the PP, It still comes out white. This is what i did: used the wand to cut out the blank space i did not want to get the gray and white checkers then when i saved it as a jpeg i selected none for the background but it still comes out white when i drag it out. I think i have to do something with the swatches to set it to a non-color but i completely forgot. Please help!

This is the logo i need the blank spaced removed from: http://www.perishablepundit.com/PunditImages/chiquita-logo.jpg

In Case someone wants to do me a small favor.

Thanks

Uh, no.

You have to save it in a file format that supports transparency. PNG should work.
