Pip boy joins the party

I don't know if anyone has got this special encounter, but you can find the little animated pip boy and he joins your party, pretty average stats, carries a shotgun. You can put him into the recrutment pool if you don't want to use him.:)
 
Yeah, htf? Btw how much luck did you have when you found pipboy?
 
I cheated my ass off, I wanted to find all the special encounters I could so I gave myself a luck of 99 and 300% in outdoorsman. I don't think the outdoorsman works though, I still got attacked every millisecond and that map is damn huge. but I haven't gotten some of the special encounters that other people have, so maybe the special encounters has to do with different percentages. maybe it was actually charisma that got pip boy cause he was very eager to come with me. Also my character was female so maybe that had something to do with his eagerness. who knows.:)
 
Yes you do avoid the random encouters. you get the little pop up screen asking if you want to encounter them or not. but sometimes I get the little pop up screen on special encounters, like the canadian reinactionists and the bazaar day, it asked if I wanted to meet a group of civilians.
 
How were able to get so much luck and change your skills. AN editor? If yes please tell me where I can get it! :-)
 
download miroslav's (what's the programs name......can't think of it) oh well it's in the binaries section. basically what it is is a read me file that tells the game what your atributes should be. among other things. You can change them around to hearts content:)
