Plane crashes

Is it just me, or has there been an increasing number of plane crashes lately? I recall like one a week for the past few months.

I don't have time to look through, but perhaps there's some statistics here.

According to their statistics;

1950:158
1960:158
1970:147
1980:151
1990+:156

no big difference but it says more people survives these days if a crash occurs

add: just realised this only took the fatal accidents into that statistics. but anyway, those are the more interesting ones

also, "Military aircraft and accidents involving private and charter aircraft were not included."

I don't know what to make of it. More sources needed to be sure I guess

Just looking at those numbers and knowing that there are more planes each decade, I'd say there are fewer and fewer accidents compared to planes flown.

I think that we are having a plane crash season - summer ends, storms start, etc.

I crashed in an airplane recently.

I found myself in the middle of the ocean, when lo and behold there's a great fucking lighthouse there. So I enter it and then I.... SPOILER REMOVED
