For the next installment of the FO series, would you like to see the older areas from Fallout 1 and 2 or just have a new section of California be explored???
I'd like to see FO3 happen on the combind maps of FO1 and FO2. From the glow to Arroyo. The boneyard must have changed some since FO1. I think staying in Post Nuclear California is essential, though.
What about Washington???? That would seem to be a logical progression after all the game keeps moving north...Maybe by Fallout 6 we'll see an Iceland scenario.....
moonbase...ummm well..theres no tech that can allow you to travel to the moon in Fallout ....at least not yet. After all, the Fallout world is reminscient of the Dark Ages as far as technology is concerned.
Basically like Fallout 2 had where you saw what happened to Shady Sands and Vault 15...I like that idea myself. Still it would be nice to get an update on necropolis and other cool places like the Boneyard...
But perhaps there is a means of transportation on the base itself and you happen to find it when it lands. Or how about the shuttle the Hubologists had.

Maybe have them expand a little to the east (just to keep the map a square).
I wanna see what happens to New Arroyo (have it form alliance with New Reno and San Fran if possible) and see some of the old towns, Junktown joins NCR, LA, and perhaps the Hub could stay neutral. Just a possibiliy.

If it stays on the West Coast I'd like to see both game maps merged, society growing, getting a handle on things. Industrialization getting a weak start. Radiation should be more of a problem, possibility of some mutation. Former bases and cities espicially, make entering more difficult (the Glow, should be standard for military hardware).
