Poseido-Net: existence?

Hi.

I hope this was the appropriate forum to post this on.

What is the deal with the attack squad that is supposedly sent to Gecko if you provoke the Enclave trooper on Poseido-Net? There is no mention of this on FAQs, yet I have heard that two power-armored Enclave soldiers do arrive in Gecko. Is this apocryphal?

I've never run into it.

Methinks it was one of the many things that was cut from the game.

Check Per's guide to Fallout, it may be there. I would check it for curiosity purposes, but I gotta get some sleep.
 
Yeah, that was supposed to be an encounter/quest but endeded up being scrapped...
 
Which is a pity. When I was playing an evil (and slightly unhinged) character I tried to get an attack squad sicced on Gecko so I could wipe them out with the minimum of fuss.

Ended up having to do it the hard way instead. ;)

Insidently, I heard that it is possible to get a few experence points for doing something or other while talking to the Encave trooper at the Gecko terminal. Is this true?
 
I never did find out the true meaning of the enclave solder in the terminal, i had tried to get him to send a attack force to me.......i was sooo ready.
 
I never kill ghouls whenever Im evil or good. Instead I spread the "justice" and kill all the normal people and leave the mutants and other freaks live. Buahhahahah!

I wanted to wipe them out as well. I hate it that gouls in Gecko attack me for no apparent reason and then lose interest. Damn glitches.
