I'm not sure if someone has already thought of this or not, if so.. oh well.
I've heard a little debate as to how critical shots should be handled. Some would like to keep the old system, and some would like a more realistic system. This would be based off of the reasoning that you could shoot someone in the hands all you wanted and it still wouldn't kill them, where as the idea of someone living through a shotgun blast to the eyes is just plain rediculous. I think it'd be cool if the game offered them both as difficulty options.
just my little idea....

P.S. no I can't spell...

I don't know I mean if someone blasted my arm off I'd think that I'd die of shock to be honest. But I can understand the eye thing unless they're wearing power armour.

Realism is good but Interplay thinks it isn't :-(

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Jul-10-00 AT 06:45PM (GMT)[p]Actually, I was the one who started that discussion on BOS official Web-board. I wrote that it would be cool if the person died from a shot into eyes. Since Fallout is going to be quite realistic game it has to have a realistic combat system. And therefore it needs its shots to be the thing they are supposed to be.
My suggestion is that a gun shot into eye (if you don't have any really cool armor such as PA or APA) will definately kill a person (well, maybe those 95%?) but will be very hard to make. The system when I having just 145% and a sniper rifle could hit enemy's eye from a distance of (if it was the real world) 50 meters is TOO unrealistic. So I think that to make an aimed shot into eyes a person needed way more AP (or he had way less percents) than to make a shot into body or leg.
Btw, I was answered by Chris Taylor that they were NOT going to do anything to solve this problem. They will instead decrease the power of aimed shots (seems they want fire arms to be as powerful as spears or fists).
