Besides the obvious Mad Max series what are some good books movies or anything... that you have read seen or have been meaning to check out that are... say falloutish in nature. .... Im sure there are thousands out there its just hard to find them..... So i figure you guys have probably looked into this as well so lets share our discoverys......

I dont have much in the way of anything right now but there is a new comic book out written by Garth Ennis of Preacher fame called "Just a Pilgrim"...
The art is iffy but the story looks like something strait out of the fallout continueum...

Well, it's a bit more geared towards the young'ns, but I found a book series titled "2099" to be quite enjoyable. It's about these teenagers in the future, you see... when life is fully dependant on the 'net. Then, some crazy shuts the net down. It's not *exactly* post apocalyptic, but it's well-written (especially for a teen series) and it has the feel.

The Stand by Stephen King is a very good book about what would happen in a post-apocalyptic world. 99.9% of the earth's population die of a disease called Captain Tripp and those who don't struggle to survive. Teh miniseries based on the book is good too, but I recommend you read the book first.

There was this other book by Stephen King, but I forgot the title. 'Twas about a guy who lives in total poverty (in the future), and decides to try and win some money in a humiliating TV show.

It's a short story called "The running man", and it was written by King under the name Richard Bachman. They even made a movie out of it starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, but the movie was totally different from the story.

My favorite series of Post apocalytic Books is the "Hiero" series.

Written by Sterling Lanier it follows Per Hiero Destin a "senior Killman" and tracker for a group of Canadien survivors. He rides a mutated Moose and makes freinds with an intelligent bear. He battles a group know as the "Unclean" that threaten to destroy those that they can't control. Hiero has mental powers and searches for old technology that will help in his battles. Great series.

You might want to check out "Earth Abides" by George R Stewart. Although not post apocalyptic it is a good book none the less. About man trying to survive after a plague wipes out most of the population.
