Power armor proyect

It Wandered In From the Wastes
Well people... i`m going for the big one... im building.. yes building a POWER ARMOR... i still dony know waht material to use... thats why i`m asking you... i heve two options

1- Alluminium or thin steel
2- micro fence structure(pic 1) with paper mache and plaster
details (as this http://www.nma-fallout.com/forum/album_page.php?pic_id=655)

.

I think the first option will be better, but too heavy to carry and the second it will take too long.
I`m also thinking about using a bucket as base for the helmet

but if you have a better idea i`ll be gald to hear your ideas.

Yea. Really cool. It will be fun to see it and photo in this. )))
I think that second way is more simple
))))

A very good idea.
But you must consider the following:

1. The paper mache must be sturdy. Because it has to survive being put on and taken off at least several times. (what is a pain in the ass with a power armor)

2. You gonna SWEAT in it. A lot.

3. When I once broke my arm it was casted in some sort of plastic cast because I am alergic on regular gypsum. Maybe use the very same materials.

I'd be glad to help you out with any idea I have for your project...

(so let's forget our "misunderstandings" from the provious threads and work together in a constructive way.)

Cheers.

Good plan, it's just so many people have tried to make stuff like this before and have failed. Not that I am doubting you can do it, just go through with it if you do.

And I have no idea about doing this, so don't ask me for help  I'm happy to offer my opinion.

True.
But I also found some pages years ago about people creating their own manga-esque armors. And dude... those armors ROCKED! (i try to find the stuff again)

It's just a matter of time, skill and of course MONEY.

Well i don`t have photos yet :( , but i`ve started with the chest... i have the shoulder supports and the helm is under contruction. 8)
Vox, you are right, i will SWEAT like a yeti on a desert, but it will be gteat.
Im thinking about a third idea. I could use plastic models... but it`s really expensive. :?
Well by the moment i`m working on the supports for the armor, I`m tall but thin, and the armor is a little big for my body. But i think i can fix that with the right supports.

I agree.

Well people, change of plans. i´m not making any supports, ill use foam rubber for the internal part and i will line it with fabric.
I will sweat like hell but i will be more comfortable than the supports  .
I also want to ask for help... as i have problems drawning weapons i have the same problem with armors :? ... i want to ask for somebody if can post a FALLOUT 1 armor drawning... front if its possible... no need for helm. THX
