Power Armor Rad-resistant?

Bullseye

First time out of the vault
in a holodisk I read that the power armor was able to resist all the radiation in a radioactive area. When you have a power armor and you go to the glow, you still get the radiation (unless you use Rad-X). How come you will get radiated and the guys in the holodisk won't?

I do know the armor you get from the guy who needs the solistic molitivator (or something) is not completely alright, but the armor in the paladin room and the armor you (sometimes) get from talus should be working in perfect order, but those have the same problem.

Does anyone know what this is all about?

Power Armor only increases your rad resistance by 30%, it doesn't make you immune to radiation. The holodisks tend to stick to the story and game atmosphere rather than armor specs. By the way, following the conversation with the BoS tech should've shown you that the only fault the armor has is a resoldered eye piece, so no radiation leak there. Therefore, you'll always end up with the same armor no matter what.

It's because, your info of the Holodisc might be wrong, I remember that the men had other protections from the radiation too, and as the recordings were made :) , the radiation levels were mild, they didn't go through the worst parts, and remember it's a game, there needs to be challenges even if you have the best armor. And by the way, there is enough rad protection equipment to last for long time. The Power Armor should give you about 30-40% extra radiation resistance, and check the Derived Static in your char sheet.
