I've had several dreams before of things or features that appeared in videogames well before they came out. I think I had another one and this time it's for Fallout: New Vegas or the MMO.

In my dream I had a high-tech rifle ( possibly Enclave ) that had a built-in radar/map on the side of the body. It also had a compartment with maintenance tools. There was a setting for single-burst, triple-burst, and automatic fire, too.

I used it to kill a Radscorpion in my old neighborhood. I think I also killed a Deathclaw. Another thing was that I was able to take the Radscorpion's poison gland and make special poison ammo from it. When I heard that you could make custom ammo in New Vegas I was shocked a little.

On the radar that was on the gun, it color-coded hostiles and non-hostiles and also locations much like it does on the radar in Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

I think the rifle might fit in more towards the MMO or even Fallout 4, but I am almost sure that you'll be able to create some type of poison ammo in New Vegas.

I had a dream about moving along a rooftop in one of the levels from Ninja Gaiden 2 before it came out.

I also had a dream about the "death" sequence from Prey before it came out. I didn't even know shit about the game.

I've had dreams about doing normal things later in the day after I wake up, but the videogame premonitions are far between and often they're so early that I don't remember them until when I'm playing the actual game.

An interesting note is that I can determine a normal videogame dream from a premonition. Regular dreams feel stupid or like bullshit because it doesn't make sense (example: replaying a level from Halo and running into a hooker ). Premonitions feel mystical because it's a new experience that I've never thought of before and it feels logical.
 
I've had a similar dream, but after I had been discussing the idea of 'real life'ing concepts/things from video games. We had discussed putting your minimap/radar/whatever as an attachment onto your deathlasers, wherein it would be map built off of cameras/infrared scanning/sonar/SCIENCE! and was put on the gun for the soldier to quickly and easily see stuff that's going on around them. After we had hung out and discussed this, I ended up having a dream about running around some warzone or something with it. Our gun had selectable fire for single/three round burst, but also had a two stage trigger where the first stage was single/three rounds and the second was full auto.
