Prepare for Awesomeness

Got a shipment the other day and no one bought any, so I'm stealing my copy. Its even got the sword fighting. Kick ass.

Looks alot like age of empires, but more caribbean-ish.

It's more than that. It's got constructor elements but you don't win "maps" and advance. You pick a year and the game runs until you stop.

Atmospheric Graphics
Beautiful landscapes, towns with core buildings, production facilities and homes will amaze you! Unbelievable, superbly detailed buildings and realistic real-time 3D sea battles with transparent water and underwater life will demonstrate the power of the Port Royale 2 engine.

Haha. Your point is noted. I for one don't care to much about the graphics (or the marketing) but it's the gameplay that draws me. That's what I enjoyed about the first one.

Pirates II is looking less the cool PC adventure game and more the "less gameplay so they could make it overly cinematic" console game.

That and the sloops that zoom around like speedboats has lessened my confidence

Coding text driven adventure/RPG games in a 48k ZX Spectrum in BASIC killed the fantasy settings for me...so much wasted time, and my tape recorder kept messing the work i was doing, even with "D&D adventures on your Sinclair Spectrum" books to help out, sigh...

Looks nice, do keep us informed if the game has the good gameplay you`re expecting.
