Problem solving the reactor problem

First time out of the vault
If got that Magnetic thingy now but i cant install it ! The reactor overground is just some walls with a big hole in the middle. And if I use the stairs in the house left of it i get to a place where all Guhls talk stupid things to me and there is also a giant rat god which gave me a talisman and sais I shall repair the reactor and find Festus. But on the whole floor where this fat rat is, there is neither a guy named Festus, neither a reactor, and neither another ladder expect the ladder leading back to the surface. Where do I have to go ?
 
You need to go to the place with the "big hole", there's a ghoul named Festus in the northeasternmost room, the one with the locker.

If you talk to him with a high enough Speech, he'll install the part.

You can also have the robot install it (use the console in the room adjacent to the reactor 'hole') or run and install it yourself (you'll incur a little damage and rads, but nothing serious)
 
I am now at the big hole overground. But theres no Ghoul. Just some "under construction" signs and some tanks and crab. I also looked around underground where the big rat lives. There are also some holes with guhls around but they all say just things like "the brain knows everything" An theres no single locker on this floor.

Is there maybe another ladder to the reactor ?
 
Don't look in the Junkyard area, look inside the Powerplant itself! :roll: The powerplant is to the east of the Settlement (entrance location)
