Problem with Amenities Office in vault city (Fallout 2)

First time out of the vault
All I need to do is speak to Randal for the part that will fix the gecko power plant, but when I open the door to the amenities office Randal just attacks me instantly and the whole place turns hostile. Help!
 
Please explain yourself better when asking for help. Anyway, from the general gist of your info, you probably triggered a delay hostile response. Something you did earlier pissed them off, so unless you figured out what, when or how, better reload.
 
Tied to time of day maybe?
If you are entering his place after closing time?
Try leaving and coming back at noon on a different day and see if it still happens.

Unfortunately I don't think so it's always day when I go and as soon as I open the door to his office he agros and runs away after dealing with several bugs like this i have been using a save editor to fix them and I used that to force end combat which works and I can talk to him but the next time I save or load a new zone the game gives an error and crashes
 
Sounds like one of those "reload earlier save where it doesn't happen" kind of situations, unfortunately.
