Problem with applying mod

I am new to this forum and the modding world in general. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to apply this mod to my existing fallout 2 game. The mod is the megamod

Whould I have to re-install the game or just apply it. I also have the restoration patch for the game.

If anyone could help me in this matter (without sending me to a help or read me files) would be greatly helpful.
 
If you are running the restoration patch (which is technicaly a mod) you wont be able to run another mod at the same time.

Most mods are packed as either a folder called 'data' or a file called 'patch000.dat'

In either case you will need to remove or rename any existing folder called 'data' or file called patch000.dat

The data folder and/or patch file are located in the fallout2 folder
 
So what your saying is I 'can' run them at the same time, however I would have to rename one of them? Correct me if I am wrong

Nope I'm saying you cant run them at the same time, and explaining how Fallout mods are usaully installed.
