Problem with FO1 Military base force fields.

Hello im writting this because I've search, search function and technical problems and havent found any solutions.
I have F01. v1.1., and im running XP SP2.
And im at the military base. My problem is this.
Every time I try to disable a force field that blocks my path.
I know the Red one you can't. But every time I try disabling the green one's by reparing them,it says. "Field succefully disabled". But the field is still THERE!. And can't seem to get anywere. Is there a way to correct this. Or can i still finish the game in some way, since im so close to finishing it.

hmmm repair should work.

you can try some explosive on it

and maybe science too (not sure)

Thank you i was thinking about getting some explosives.
But i need at least 6 or 7.
I don't think there's even that much in the entire game.
Can some please help me.

Why don't people search these forums? 'Cause searching for just 'forcefields' works well enough.

In any case, try entering combat before repairing the forcefields and move through them within the same round.

oh there is.

one in vault 15, one at the raider camp, there is at least one in killian's shop.
You can buy some at the Hub, maybe at the Adytum & at the Gun shop.
At the Glow I think there is some too, and in the Military base.

Or....you can just go in the Military Base by Harry's way so you'll avoid the force field. But you've to fight the Lieutenant (pretty hard) and you'll be blocked by the force fields when you'll exit the base.
